With Mohamed's seal, Toluca is crowned in the Champions Cup

LOS ANGELES -- Toluca became serious and formal in the second half, and with the resource of set pieces, trademark of its coach Mohamed , was crowned in the Campeones Cup , with goals in the 88th minute ( Franco Romero ) and 93rd minute ( Andrés Pereira ), with a 3-2 epitaph on the grave of the Los Angeles Galaxy.

A match that grew in intensity, with the Red Devils closing out the match, constantly rallying from the deficit, eventually reversing the final score at 3-2.

Terrible refereeing by Iván Bartón , who finished with ten yellow cards and two red cards, Antonio Mohamed and his son. He gave away penalties and swallowed red cards. Chaos. He gave away penalties and swallowed red cards. Chaos.

The "0," yes, the zero, as a strategy of negation, as a strategy of affirmation. The zero. As renunciation and as a proposal. The zero, without scruples, as a scrupulous method. The zero, as far as it fits, as far as it reaches. The zero, as hope for life, as renunciation of death.

Yes, zero as the end and the beginning, as the starting point. As the final point. Thus the bet of Toluca and Galaxy.

The toxic curse of a 0-0 draw is broken by referee Iván Bartón. Gabriel Fortes dives under pressure from Gallardo, who rewards the penalty spot. Diego Fagúndez makes no mistake. 1-0. Minute 25.

Toluca reacts, but is exposed to counterattacks, especially led by Paintsil , the man who scored the hat trick last weekend against Kansas City, another team as hopeless in the MLS as the Galaxy itself.

At the end of the first half, Mohamed Turco dives into midfield at the referee. Iván Barton retreats, but is shown a red card, while some Galaxy players try to interfere.

In the second half, Toluca took the challenge of winning everything they played seriously. They took control of the match, exploring mid-range shots and creating spaces with deep movements that freed up space.

After three corners, Nicolás Castro finally equalized in the 53rd minute with a 30-yard shot that went low and just inside Mivovic 's right post . The 1-1 scoreline reframed the game.

The draw only gave Toluca some encouragement at times , but they gradually returned to caution, partly because space was synonymous with suicide against Paintsil's speed. The Ghanaian created avenues on both flanks.

Paulinho 's goal was ruled out for offside by VAR, and in the 83rd minute, Pec made it 2-1 amidst Toluca's bewildered defense.

And if it's a matter of confusion, the Galaxy made it 2-2 in the 88th minute, with a rebound in the center, and Franco Romero 's merciless shot tied the score.

And in the 93rd minute, in the relentless resource of the set piece, and in the eleventh corner kick for the Red Devils, Pereira appears to make it 3-2.
